Wine Cellar Humidifier

Along with a wine cellar cooling unit, a wine cellar humidifier is an extremely important part of a wine cooling system to ensure the integrity of your cellar and the proper aging of your wine. To ensure the labels and corks remain in tact, the humidity of your cellar should remain between 50-80%. However, optimum humidity is agreed to be 70%. A wine cellar humidifier keeps your cellar within this range.

Without a wine cellar humidifier, the corks of your wine can rot away, as is the case with too-high humidity, causing the wine to age prematurely. If the humidity is too low, the corks will dry out and let in air, again aging the wine, and they may splinter when opening the wine. Further, the labels can disintegrate from too much humidity, decreasing the value of the wine and also making the name and type of wine indecipherable. A wine cellar humidifier keeps the corks, labels, and value of your wine in tact.
